[OPEN] Teddie Appears! Yay!

Well, this certainly wasn't where Teddie fell asleep last night. Oh, yesterday was meant to be perfect! But it got ruined. Poor Sensei, his special day was soured by his teacher's death! Still, he didn't let it get him down. He was supposed to be sleeping in Yosuke's house since he had nowhere to go in Inaba. Did Yosuke pull a prank on him?

...No, probably not. Yosuke isn't super rude like that. Still, he should try to find someone. He looked around and saw the board in the room, with a bunch of names, but didn't really read any of them. "Something is beary off here!"

Before he talked himself in a circle of wondering, he did catch a whiff of something in the air... Still, he couldn't pinpoint it. Oh well! Might as well call out and see if anyone's here.

"Helloooooooo! Sensei?! Ake-chan?! Anyone here?"

Look! I remembered to post before December started this year!

Hello, friends! It's about to be December again, and you know what that means: the fact I am posting this actually before December 1 means [staff profile] karzilla reminded me about the existence of linear time again. Wait, no -- well, yes, but also -- okay, look, let me back up and start again: it's almost December, and that means it's time for our annual December holiday points bonus.

The standard explanation: For the entire month of December, all orders made in the Shop of points and paid time, either for you or as a gift for a friend, will have 10% of your completed cart total sent to you in points when you finish the transaction. For instance, if you buy an order of 12 months of paid time for $35 (350 points), you'll get 35 points when the order is complete, to use on a future purchase.

The fine print and much more behind this cut! )

Thank you, in short, for being the best possible users any social media site could possibly ever hope for. I'm probably in danger of crossing the Sappiness Line if I haven't already, but you all make everything worth it.

On behalf of Mark, Jen, Robby, and our team of awesome volunteers, and to each and every one of you, whether you've been with us on this wild ride since the beginning or just signed up last week, I'm wishing you all a very happy set of end-of-year holidays, whichever ones you celebrate, and hoping for all of you that your 2026 is full of kindness, determination, empathy, and a hell of a lot more luck than we've all had lately. Let's go.

[A message appears on the network in the wee hours of the morning. No, he did not spend an indeterminate amount of time exploring Tartarus. And getting stuck, because the Dark Hour exists in a small sliver of time. Of course not. That would be absurd.]

I have to ask, regarding Tartarus...

Is there a reason the walls have faces? Some of the floors appear more like ordinary corridors. Others seem more industrial. Then there are the floors which are a literal eyesore that I can only imagine would be worse if it weren't for my sunglasses.

But the faces...

I don't believe I'm going to sleep soundly tonight.

Perhaps I ought to start preparing some baked goods for the holiday season. Who says you can't bake at two in the morning? This is a lawless land. Nothing is stopping me.

[Sleep deprivation? Never heard of her!]

At your service...

[A post appears on the network, from a user who hasn't graced it with her presence just yet.]

Greetings. I am Margaret, the eldest of the Velvet Room attendants. You may have seen me periodically, though I admit that I haven't spent as much time actively interacting with guests as my siblings.

That being said, I am aware of your misgivings. Not only have we taken you from your worlds, but some of our holiday festivities or bonding exercises have rubbed you the wrong way.

I won't make excuses. Rather, I'd like to search for a solution.

So, as our guests, we'd like feedback for ways we can make your stay here more enjoyable. Be that comforts or enrichment, all suggestions are welcome, though I'm afraid we can't simply send you home.

My siblings and I will also have a suggestion box in the Velvet Room itself, if you prefer to communicate in person.

[True to her word, there is indeed a suggestion box atop a lovely table adorned with some cookies and other snacks. Theodore sits there with a smile, however stilted. Occasionally, Elizabeth comes in to 'supervise' him or even take over.

Sometimes, she's wearing cat ears. Don't worry about it.]

(Open) Yusuke accidentally waltzes into Tartarus

Yusuke should have been paying attention. He had gone for night walks around Tatsumi Port Island every now and then to think and ruminate, but he would always leave before the supposed Dark Hour.
But he wasn't paying attention. Not this time. He got distracted and took a different path from his regular commute. Perhaps it was to get a new idea in his head. Perhaps it was to find a new resturaunt he could dine at on the rare chance he had money. Not even he could really tell.
Somehow, his walk resulted in him arriving at the open gates of Gekkoukan High just as the clock hit midnight.
Of course, the building in front of him spreading, shifting, and spreading up into the heavens, along with all other signs of the Dark Hour, didn't go unnoticed. He stopped, shocked at the marvel in front of him. This building, so avant garde in design, laid before him, standing as a beacon to the macabre moment in time he found himself stood in.
He should have turned and walked away. That would have been the safe thing to do. But this was Yusuke. He was drawn to such facinating things. So like a moth to a flame, he stepped within, and found himself within the lobby of Tartarus. He could have taken the teleporter to the top, or headed up the stairs into the building proper... But he wasn't that much of a fool. Given now that his Phantom Thief attire had flared to life around him, he was on alert. He wasn't going any further.
Not unless anyone else showed up.
