MISSING PET: please help us find our mass murderer! [semi-closed]

The truth is, Ren has been spiraling for months. It wasn't Goro turning into a toddler that started it; it was Goro returning to his usual age, and the desperate, pathetic relief that followed. Everything that's happened between them since then has just rubbed the truth in his face. He's done so much damage to himself by getting together with Goro, left himself so devastatingly vulnerable. He's given Goro the knife and opened his arms wide, and now the best-case scenario is that he lives the rest of his life in one piece, but always in danger of being gutted.

It's been two years since the first wave of arrivals here. I was among the initial group, with Crow following a few weeks after. Back then, there were far less of us. The majority of the "guests" were Akiras and Rens. Obviously, things have changed. The scales have tipped. Faces both familiar and unfamiliar soon followed. I've enjoyed my time here. The connections I've forged are some of the most integral to who I am as a person. I just wonder sometimes if I'll wake up one morning and find myself at home, back in the twelve year old state I was when this all began. Or, conversely, I've pondered what may happen if one day, Yu, Dojima-san, or even my sister arrived. I won't deny that I miss the others. I'm sure we all have people we miss. It's just strange to think about. I've known my family here longer than the people I left behind in "my" Inaba.

(Intro) Of Flowers and Time

When Kasumi arrives, she's not so certain what to think.

After all, the Velvet Room looks way different, being a pleasant blue room with plenty of doors instead of a grimy old prison (Thank goodness, really, she hated that prison even if it is apparently the 'reflection of her heart').

Igor's here (Something seems different about him, actually?), telling her to make bonds with the other people here, and she can't help but be rather confused. What about the upcoming ruin? What about Briar-- Sumire? Her sister? The one she can't remember, that doesn't exist anymore?

None of it makes sense, and she wants answers.

"Hello? Is anyone here? Igor-san's kind of giving me some mixed messages...!"

The new resident, complete with her brown hair up in a red ponytail and a small beauty mark next to her left eye as well as a Shujin uniform, begins looking around the Velvet Room in a haste, before opening her first door...

Option 1: Tokyo! On the streets of Shibuya, Kasumi can be fond going back and forth from various different cognitions. She seems to be trying to get answers from them, but with no luck. She seems frustrated, pursing her lips a bit as another cognition passes her by.

"Hmph...! Why won't anyone answer me?"

All she wants to know is exactly what this place is and what's going on, because it's sure as heck not the normal Velvet Room and this is sure as heck not the normal Igor. She's not stupid, she can tell that much.

...But she still doesn't know what the deal is! There has to be more to what's going on, right? Like come on, the people around her are all acting super weird!

"Is someone that isn't a jerk here???"

Option 2: Inaba! The riverbank flows as Kasumi takes a break, sitting beside it as a cool breeze blows by. After trying for so long to get answers, she needs a minute to just clear her head and relax... and after a solid moment, she just lies back on the grass, sprawling her arms and legs out as though she were making a snow angel.

What is this weird place? She can't help but wonder why she's here... She never lets herself sit and think for too long, given the circumstances of her life. How she has a little sister that doesn't exist anymore, apparently, but she wonders what she must have been like...

...What was Sumire like before she vanished?

She sighs somewhat loudly, raising one of her arms to her forehead.

Hamuko will be joining us >:) ok so. i found out my dad used to be a cop in TOKYO before everything went to hell but all the old PD archives are half-digitized and locked up in bureaucratic encryption hell and i need someone to access the surface side of the records manually or at least... poke around for anything tagged under "Hasegawa, Detective Z." basically? wanna go snooping into extremely cursed police data with me. bring snacks. Also i am kidding about the favour thing, Wolf- this is completely no pressure

We have given birth! After several months of intense research and development, we are very happy to announce the creation of a whole person! Meet Ancile, the anti-shadow defensive unit - and when she's off duty, hopefully a friend to others. :D Though lacking any truly offense-oriented abilities, Ancile is a fantastic support in danger and excels in anticipating emergencies. And after a little bit of hanging out we've done, we've come to find that she is also extremely talented with rock-paper-scissors and enjoys listening to jazz. Please treat her nicely - we'd like to see her grow and learn well! I'll be letting her borrow my phone, but we'll be going to chat with Igor about getting her one that's all hers here soon enough. ♥ For now, here's a picture:

As promised, Ichinose and Maruki can be found with their new 'daughter' in the Velvet Room - but upon arrival, you may find that the two are arguing with the attendants and Igor about their new addition...

Ancile herself, at least, is standing politely off to the side. If anyone wants to talk to her, that is!
